Summary :
The Tool and Die Maker will build, repair, and assemble various tools, jigs, fixtures, and dies to ensure manufacturing precision and efficiency.
This role demands a high degree of attention to detail, mechanical precision, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and correcting defects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Plan and perform bench and machine operations for constructing, adjusting, and repairing tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
Set up and operate tools like lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders.
Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies; perform tool tryouts and correct operational issues.
Read and interpret blueprints or written / verbal instructions.
Perform machine operations requiring a variety of setups and maintain close tolerances.
Troubleshoot and resolve tool and die difficulties.
Assist in EMS (Environmental Management System) and Quality Policy goals.
Potentially serve as an internal auditor for ISO 9001 / IATF16949 and ISO 14001 Systems.
Additional Responsibilities :
Train Tool Room Apprentices.
Assist in Punch Press or Fourslide setups and overhauls.
Collaborate with tool designers for manufacturing capability input on new parts.
Physical Demands :
Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
Frequent lifting of up to 30 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
High mental and vision effort with frequent exposure to machine oils and sharp edges.
Requirements
Must Have :
Certification as a Tool & Die Maker or 4 years of on-the-job training as a Tool & Die Maker.

Alternatively, 4 years of Tool & Die work experience in the Metal Industry.
Qualifications :
Certification or equivalent experience as a Tool & Die Maker with 4 years of experience in the Metal Industry.
High precision, attention to detail, and the ability to prevent operational damage.
Strong attendance record.
