Position Description and Responsibilities
The UiPath Software Developer (Contractor) will work closely with the internal UiPath product management team, vendor teams, and development staff to develop, enhance, and streamline UiPath systems. This position requires minimal supervision and includes a significant degree of independent judgment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify requirements and translate them into effective solutions within the UiPath environment.
- Developing and customizing all technical aspects of UiPath to meet business needs.
- Ensuring UiPath bots remain stable, managing platform upgrades, implementing minor functionality changes, and mentoring FTE staff.
- Assisting in developing best practices for RPA and creating small bots for incremental process improvement.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies such as daily scrum meetings, planning, and retrospection, while reviewing source code and providing development input.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Certification: UiPath Certified Advanced RPA Developer (UiARD).
- Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of total programming experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on UiPath/RPA development experience.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in UiPath Studio and REFramework.
- Programming experience in .NET (C#, VB.Net), HTML, and JavaScript.
- Advanced automation tools expertise, including OCR, IDP, and AI/ML integration.
- Familiarity with API integration (REST & SOAP services) within UiPath workflows.
- Ability to debug, analyze code, and develop technical specifications, designs, and architecture artifacts.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to break down business problems into logical tasks and think creatively.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
- Clearances:
- Level-1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Willingness to undergo a 7-year HireRight background check.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean principles.
- Familiarity with SDLC and ITIL processes.
- Prior experience mentoring junior developers or creating RPA best practices.
- Experience with mainframe applications, terminal emulator clients, and platforms like OnBase Unity Client.
- Knowledge of tools within the Microsoft Office and Google Suite ecosystems.
- Prior work experience with the Department of Economic Security (DES) or other public sector organizations.

Clearance Requirements:
