QA Engineer - Malvern, PA
RAJANT CORPORATION, the 20 -year leader in industrial wireless patented Kinetic Mesh® networking solutions, providing full mobility and autonomous products, is seeking a QA Engineer to evaluate our firmware and software through rigorous testing processes.
This includes performing regression testing, assessing new features and bug fixes, triaging software bugs, and developing automated test scripts. The role also involves continuous improvement of our internal development and testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & Execute Test Plans: Design, develop, & implement comprehensive test plans & test cases to ensure product quality & compliance with specifications.
- Automate Testing Processes: Create and maintain automated test scripts using Bash and Python to streamline testing procedures and improve efficiency.
- Bug Identification and Triage: Identify, document, and prioritize software defects; collaborate with the development team to facilitate timely resolutions.
- Process Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and improve internal testing methodologies to enhance product quality and team productivity.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, outcomes, & quality metrics; prepare reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, & other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives & project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Python and Bash scripting; familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Networking Knowledge: General understanding of wireless networking standards (802.11n/ac/ax) and wired networking; basic knowledge of RF concepts.
- Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; capable of analyzing complex systems to identify issues and solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment; open to feedback and willing to assist others.
- Adaptability: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and process improvement; able to adapt to evolving project requirements.
- User-Centric Perspective: Ability to think from the end user’s perspective, ensuring that products meet user needs and expectations.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
