Overview:
The Courier will be responsible for transporting materials, documents. This role is crucial in ensuring that our construction projects run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a commitment to safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Material and Document Delivery:
- Transport tools and documents to various job sites as directed by project managers or supervisors.
2. Route Planning:
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize GPS or mapping tools to navigate to job sites and suppliers.
3. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including quantities delivered and any discrepancies.
4. Communication:
- Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and office staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Provide updates on the status of deliveries and any unexpected delays.
5. Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while transporting materials.
- Conduct regular checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
6. Record Keeping:
- Maintain logs of deliveries, including dates, times, recipients, and any relevant notes.
- Submit delivery reports to management as required.
9. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with project teams to understand their material needs and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely preparation of materials for delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.73 - $26.39 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
