MUST APPLY IN PERSON- Please apply in person during business hours. Everyone wonders, what does Kennel Assistant do? Some employers may promise you'll play with puppies and kittens all day. We will be honest with you from the start. You will scrub kennels, bathe hairy dogs, trim long nails, flush gross ears, express anal glands, poop scoop and clean! You will also build relationships with happy and shy dogs, curious cats, and your fellow animal lovers - coworkers and clients alike. Our Practice case load is LOTS of puppies, and you will see them grow up, recognize and run to you when you welcome them for boarding. Kennel is the only position in veterinary medicine where you truly work more with animals than people - although you have to get along with both. We treat our Kennel Assistants with outmost respect. If you prove yourself, opportunity for advancement is almost always there. Experience is a plus however we will train the right candidate. Solid work ethic and teamwork take precedence.
