As Resident Service Coordinator, you will connect senior residents to essential services, resources, and programs that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This position requires staff to perform specialized community and social services activities, professionally and respectfully, for low and moderate income seniors in the Raleigh area. You’ll serve as a trusted advocate, helping residents navigate challenges and fostering a vibrant, supportive community.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Evaluates and identifies resident needs and coordinates resources to meet resident needs and provide tailored recommendations for local services and programs.Work includes planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating programs and activities assigned.Works with residents, resident councils and/or community service providers to help enhance the quality of life and supportive services available to residents of public housing communities.Advocates for residents to ensure access to adequate and supportive services.Serves as the liaison between community service providers and residents to help provide educational, recreational, social, cultural and/or economic resources.Plans, organizes, implements, monitors and reports on resident programs that align with the mission of the agency to enhance and improve resident lives and conditions.Manages tenant participation funds and expenditures within established guidelines.Administers community service programs and activities; recruits, organizes, trains and supervises volunteers or others willing to assist in program efforts.Maintains records, files, and data on program activities and prepares narrative and statistical reports as required, including information needed for potential grant submission. Meets with residents in both group and individual settings and explains processes, rules, and program regulations.· Provides crisis intervention and required reporting to outside agencies as necessary.Collaborates with community organizations, healthcare providers, and social service agencies to establish partnerships.Performs administrative support to the department to assist with determining eligibility for assistance and programs, data entry and preparing written correspondence.Executes related work and other duties as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERequires graduation from high school or its equivalent, supplemented by courses in office or business administration with minimum of 2 years of experience in general office and public contact work, preferably in the affordable housing or human services field working with low-income families; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a major in social work, human services or related field is preferred. Experience with Yardi software is preferred.Certification, License, and Special Requirements: Valid North Carolina (NC) driver’s license.Drug testing, criminal background check and DMV check required.Must be proficient with MS 365, MSWord and Excel.
