General Job Description:
This individual will be responsible for all physical upkeep of the church, including but not limited to the cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, event set up, church grounds and general maintenance.

Responsibilities:
- Serve staff, members and guests of the church in making sure there is a welcoming, clean, safe, and orderly place for worship and fellowship.
- Perform frequent routine inspection of inside and outside church property:
- Ensure HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting and security systems and service equipment in the church are operational and working properly and efficiently.
- Review and perform seasonal checks and regular preventative maintenance on all systems, with support from the Property and Maintenance Committee as needed.
- Coordinate and supervise outside contractors as needed.
- Supervise, identify housekeeping projects, determine priorities, support and work closely with support staff in cleaning and maintaining the church.
- Maintain inventory of janitorial and maintenance supplies, ordering additional quantities in a timely manner to support church operations.
- Work with Church Staff in:
- setting up, reviewing, and working weekly calendar events and special events;
- ensuring the proper set up for daily, weekly and seasonal events;
- managing and developing administrative documentation such as a Manual of Operations, service contracts, warranties, inventories, manuals, etc.
- Work with the Property and Maintenance Committee and other members:
- in support of capital improvement and other projects at the church. Suggest and implement improvements to the operation and maintenance procedures at the church to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- in keeping expenses within budget through but not limited to regular and proactive inspection and upkeep of the church property.
- Work with all types of inspectors to ensure the building and grounds comply with applicable codes and regulations.
- Identify maintenance and improvement projects on the church grounds. Work with the Property and Maintenance Committee to schedule work days for church volunteers and outside contractors, as needed, in support of landscaping, grounds maintenance, leaf raking and walkway snow removal. Oversee contract lawn care, sprinkler system and parking lot snow removal, with support from the Property and Maintenance Committee as needed.
- Coordinate with outside groups in scheduling church spaces, managing the building usage covenants and ensuring the relationship is beneficial to all parties.
Reporting and Relationships:
The support staff (custodians, etc.) will report directly to this position. The Building Supervisor will report directly to the Senior Pastor and the session through the Property and Maintenance Committee and will provide friendly support to any staff, member or guest of the church.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
