We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments. This position requires a strong understanding of medical-surgical practices, geriatrics, and internal medicine, as well as proficiency in coding and patient management.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for X-Ray and other diagnostic tests.
- Record patient histories and vital signs accurately.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms.
- Manage patient records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.
- Support urgent care needs by triaging patients effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery.
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in medical-surgical, inpatient, geriatrics, or urgent care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and internal medicine practices.
- Familiarity with medical coding procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is an advantage.
