This position requires a strong understanding of medical administrative support and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) as needed and maintain certification.
- Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments, updating medical histories, and processing insurance information.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and collecting relevant health information.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and work areas to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety measures.
- Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks, including electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
