Assists in basic patient care under the supervision of an RN.
Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the procedure room and equipment.
Reports to: Director of Endo
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs direct patient care responsibilities, including assisting patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the procedure room and equipment, including removal of trash and soiled linen.
Lifts, positions and transports patients and transports equipment within the hospital as directed.
Obtain patient vital signs as ordered by physician or instructed by RN.
Properly maintains transport and O2 equipment.
Maintains equipment and supplies and participates in quality assurance.
Communicates appropriate information intradepartmentally and interdepartmentally.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent - Required
Minimum Work Experience
Previous relevant experience of completion of one (1) year clinical experience. Patient Care Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant experience preferred.
