Protects employees, patients and visitors of RGH.
Protects hospital supplies and equipment.
Enforces security and policies and procedures of the hospital and observes suspicious persons, disorderly gatherings, etc.
Assists in any injury, sickness, riot, fire, or similar events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides for the safety and security of all persons (patients, visitors and staff) and property
Enforces all federal, state and local laws as well as facility policies and procedures
Maintains professional competency by staying up-to-date on the changing trends of security procedures and practices
Demonstrates understanding of the proper guidelines for the use of force
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must receive within 30 days of hire.
Required Licenses
Valid WV driver's license
Minimum Work Experience
Work experience in healthcare security and/or safety field preferred.
