What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at Raleigh Hills Assisted Living?
Raleigh Hills Assisted Living, a beautiful senior living community located just outside Portland in West Slope neighborhood, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Director to join our amazing team. This is a physical working position, and the MD will manage their team, help turn rooms, and process work orders doing maintenance, some grounds and other maintenance tasks. This position will report to the Director of Peoples and Operations and oversee community maintenance.
Qualifications:
-Experience in maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and building.
-Knowledge of Fire and Safety regulations.
-Ability to work with outside vendors.
-Experience in doing electrical and plumbing repair.
-Be available and on call for emergencies evenings and weekends.
Duties Include:
-Hands-On Maintenance and Repair.
-Maintain exterior and interior of buildings and equipment.
-Able to adapt to changing demands of the maintenance department.
-Oversight of contracted grounds maintenance.
-Oversight of Safety Committee and fire drills, and evacuation procedures.
-Maintain exterior and interior of buildings and equipment.
-Repairs in occupied apartments.
-Repairs, repaint, and shampoo carpets in turnover apartments.
-Shampoo carpets in common areas.

We are looking for a talented and resourceful person looking for a long-term position. Prior experience with property management maintenance software is a plus.
