We are looking for a LPN/ CMA/ RMA to join our group in Cary.

The LPN/ CMA/ RMA position is needed to provide clinical care to patients, including assessments and instructions as directed at our primary care department at the Cary location.

On an average day, you will:

  • Support nursing care standards through adherence to practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations
  • Room and prepare patients for physicians examination, assisting with examination as directed
  • Measure and record patients vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration
  • Obtain and document nursing history from patients and/or significant others that is comprehensive of present condition and prior problems
  • Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication
  • Educate patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, and communicating physician advice/instructions
  • Accurately relay prescription refill information to local and mail order pharmacies via phone, fax or e-prescription functions as directed by the physician/physician extender and refill protocols
  • Schedule patient procedures as requested by the physician
  • Facilitate authorizations and referrals for managed care patients where indicated
  • Work as part of a health care team to assess patient needs, plans and modifies care, and implements interventions

 

To qualify for this job you must have:

  • General knowledge of nursing and health care terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow OSHA safety guidelines and privacy policies
  • Strong computer literacy with EHR experience
  • One year of recent medical office experience in primary care
  • Current NC state licensure required (LPN) or CMA/RMA Certification
  • Current BLS certification


We’d also love it if you have:

  • Time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care coordination skills
  • Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions
  • Experience working with patients in all age groups
  • Current ACLS certification

 

Physical requirements and work environment:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
  • Must be able to support at least 75 pounds to reposition, transfer, and ambulate patients safely
  • Fine motor skills
  • Visual acuity
