The Risk Management Coordinator provides administrative support activities for the Risk Management and Quality Improvement department in implementing effective projects as needed and record keeping systems/data entry. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance of all regulatory agency requirements. Assists Department Directors and staff to meet compliance with facility policies and procedures and regulatory and accrediting agencies.

The Risk Management Coordinator provides administrative support activities for the Risk Management and Quality Improvement department in implementing effective projects as needed and record keeping systems/data entry. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance of all regulatory agency requirements. Assists Department Directors and staff to meet compliance with facility policies and procedures and regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assists in maintaining accreditation compliance, patient safety goals and other state or licensing requirements.
- Facilitates document processing between managers and committees.
- Records and maintains committee meeting minutes, performance improvement and risk management documentation.
- Maintains updated policy and procedure manuals and electronic and physical database.
- Assists in project implementation and system-wide education and compliance initiatives including compliance with State Licensing and CMS regulatory requirements.
- Maintains and analyzes incident reports to support PI data collection and reporting needs and direction.
- Tracks projects as assigned throughout the facility, which may include but is not limited to quality council, policies and procedures, safety committee, departmental monitors, board monitors and graphs.
- Assists Department Directors and staff as needed to maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines and policy implementation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree within a clinical healthcare field such as nursing or counseling preferred.
- One year experience with Joint Commission/CARF accreditation preferred and working in a compliance or risk capacity.
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
