Possible Hybrid after 90 days, completed training, passed assessment) .
The Credentialing Specialist works independently to coordinate, develop, monitor and maintain the credentialing process under the supervision of the Credentialing Supervisor. The specialist serves as a support for Patient Accounts and Reimbursements and other respective departments.
Qualifications
Prefer two to three years administrative experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel Prefer experience with processing governmental and insurance credentialing applications and familiarity with medical / therapy terminology, and billing office processes a plus. Requires effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate with providers and prepare correspondence. Must have thorough knowledge of English grammar and ability to edit, able to take initiative and prioritize and work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to work in a cooperative manner and maintain effective working relationships with management / supervisors, co-workers, customers and vendors.
