We are seeking a skilled and experienced PRN physical therapist to provide occasional / semi-regular PRN coverage at our out-patient surgery centers in Raleigh and Cary. The candidate would be responsible for assessing and mobilizing post-op total joint knee and hip replacement pts in our same day surgery centers.
Responsibilities include :
- Bedside assessment of readiness for post-op ambulation
- Gait training on level surfaces and stairs if indicated
- Supervise bed mobility to ensure independence upon discharge
- Provide PT education and promote preventative care to reduce the risk of post-op complications
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Strong communication and person skills
- Flexibility to cover occasional weekday shifts of between 2-5 hours
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Adhere to facility regulatory standards
Physical demands :
Qualifications :
Current NC State licensure as at physical therapist
Previous experience as an in-pt. orthopedic physical therapist is preferred but not required.
Compensation :
Salary : $46 - $50
