Radiology Assistant-Transporter - Full-Time Position - Edwards Mill Road Office - The Radiology Assistant performs routine clerical duties associated with the Radiology Department and provides effective customer service for all patients. This position is responsible for the maintenance and control of all patient radiology electronic files in SECTRA PACS and escorting patients to and from the exam rooms. Serves as a contact for purchasing and maintaining X-ray Prep inventory/supplies.
Requires Six-months to 1 year experience in medical records and medical terminology preferred with Digital Radiology records experience a plus. Must be computer literate and have aptitude for clerical work especially related to alphabetical and numerical filing. Position requires lengthy periods of standing and walking and ability to life and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Ability to work with minimal instruction or supervision in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize multiple tasks and demands. Must be able to exercise independent judgment in planning, prioritizing and organizing diversified workload. Accuracy in obtaining and documenting patient information. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, providers and patients. Must be able to travel to outlying site locations as needed.
Compensation ranges from $16 to $21 per hour
