Sterile Processing Technician - Full-Time Positions at Raleigh Surgery Center
The Sterile Processing Technician, under the guidance of the OR Manager, performs activities of sterile processing in preparation and distribution of sterile supplies and equipment for use in patient care and treatment. This position provides support with room turnover, assists in preference card updates and case picking, and manages inventory.
At least one year of previous training and experience and certification in sterile processing is preferred. Surgical Technologist experience is beneficial. CPR certification is required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and distribute sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control standards.
• Assist with room turnover and update preference cards as needed.
• Participate in inventory management to ensure efficient supply levels.
• Collaborate with OR staff to meet patient care needs and maintain high-quality service.
Requirements:
• Certification in sterile processing or related field (e.g., C.S.T.).
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in surgical services or a related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
