Job Description for Raley's Supermarkets Clerk
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Clerk to join our store team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and clean shopping environment, and executing various tasks throughout the store.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate a register and handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change accurately
- Assist customers by providing information and resolving any complaints
- Assist with stocking shelves, facing, cleaning, and dusting as needed
- Maintain Safety and Sanitation standards throughout the store
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Friendly and customer service-oriented with an interest in food and cooking
- Customer service, restaurant, barista, food service, grocery, or similar experience desired
- Self-motivated with a high attention to detail, quality, and presentation
- Effective communication skills to interact with coworkers and customers
- Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Able to read, understand, and follow through on verbal and written directions
- Able to reliably meet required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policy
Physical Demands:
Standing, Sitting, Lifting Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending
Must be 18 years of age
