EDUCATION
Position involves wrist/hand manipulation; good visual acuity for detail work; ability to bend stoop on a regular basis; reach overhead and lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for frequent viewing of computer monitor and review of documents. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license, means of transportation, and be able to travel independently.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must have a strong ability to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must have a strong ability to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Daily administration
- Analyze hardware, virtualization, operating system, storage, and application logs and quickly remediate any issues.
- Manage environment health and performance metrics in real-time and utilize proper judgment to resolve performance issues to ensure system health.
- Ensure all system usage and performance metrics are properly logged and available for analysis.
- Meet service level expectations through timely troubleshooting and resolution of reported issues.
- Perform all user account management.
- System management
- Manage and maintain hardware and operating system lifecycle performing hardware and OS upgrades and updates to ensure performance and security requirements are maintained
- Manage server infrastructure including all physical and virtual servers as well as appliances.
- Manage Domain Controllers, Active Directory organizational units, and group polices.
- Perform regular system audits and analysis to determine performance trends, compute capacity, and compliance improvements.
- Review system security audit reports developing and implementing an approved remediation plan that addresses all violations and/or vulnerabilities.
- Manage Microsoft DNS and DHCP servers.
- Manage Microsoft SQL, Print, and File servers.
- Implement and manage deployment schedules for new operating systems and applications, as well as, all required patches and updates.
- Develop standard operating plans and procedures for the security, maintenance, installation and deployment of all managed systems. Provide training and instruction to other team members on how to implement these operating plans and procedures.
- Create and maintain infrastructure design documentation.
- Provide status reports to manager.
- Maintain environment inventory including all managed hardware, operation system, and application licensing.
- Provide Tier 3 infrastructure support to I.T. ServiceDesk.
- Monitor hardware and software licensing usage and report usage trends, concerns, and violations.
- Maintain compliance with business continuity plan thru backups, proper testing, and regularly review reporting concerns or discrepancies to supervisor.
- Maintain knowledge thru self-study and other approved training opportunities.
- Participate in departmental on call schedule and maintenance window schedules.
- Follow proper change management procedures for all system changes.

- Comparable work experience will be accepted in lieu of degree
- Three (3) years in Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure management and administration.
- Must possess and maintain, or be able to obtain within 180 days of employment, the following certifications: CompTIA Security and CompTIA Server
