JOB Title: Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Sunny Northwest Florida
Position Description:
Rally Point Management, LLC is looking for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISS) to support advanced program operations in sunny Northwest Florida. You can live in the spectacular area of Destin and Ft. Walton Beach, while supporting Eglin Air Force Base Electronic Warfare (EW) missions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hands-on management of the unit's Cyber Security requirements.
- Review, prepare, and update AIS accreditation packages.
- Coordinate changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware with the Program Management office (PMO) and organizational Program Managers (PMs).
- Notify customers when changes occur that might affect AIS accreditation/certification.
- Perform AIS self-inspections, identify AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
- Initiate requests for temporary and permanent exceptions, deviations, or waivers to PMO requirements or criteria.
Qualification Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have or be able to gain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with access to SCI and SAPs.
- Require a BAchelor's degree with 3 years experience OR a High School Diploma with 9 years exerience OR an Associates'd degree with 7 years experience.
- Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2, CASP or CAP, CISSP desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of information systems (IS) supporting special access program (SAP) networks.
- Knowledge of IS security concepts, principles, and practices.
- Knowledge of required Collateral, SAP and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) security procedures.
- Knowledgeable and experienced working with LINUX Operating System and Window OS.
- Knowledge and experience executing Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity and availability, authentication, non-repudiation); knowledge and experience executing systems diagnostic tools (i.e. STIG, SCAP, ACAS, and JSIG requirements) and fault identification techniques; vulnerability scanning; knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies; knowledge of basic system administration and operating system hardening techniques; knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides.
