What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Technician - Mercedes Benz Entry Level position at Rallye Motor Company?
Rallye Mercedes, Long Island’s premier Mercedes-Benz dealership, has immediate opportunities for Express Technicians, Tire Technicians & Quality Control Technicians! Express Technician Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Diagnostic Technician; report to the Service Manager, Shop Foreman, and Dispatcher.
- Mount, rotate, balance and change tires.
- Examine the vehicle to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to Service Advisor.
- Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain parts. Follow warranty material disposition procedures.
- Notify Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised.
- Clearly and accurately document all work performed.
- Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate.
- Only perform work that is authorized by the customer or by the warranty.
- Inform Service Advisor and Foreman of all work that cannot be finished by the end of the shift.
Tire technician responsibilities:
- Wheel alignments.
- Tire changes, rotations, and mounting.
Quality Control responsibilities:
- Inspect all work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Mercedes Benz factory and Rallye Mercedes standards.
- Examine and test-drive all vehicles to ensure that the cause of vehicle malfunctions, and recommend/ perform repairs are completed. Communicate all discrepancies to the Service Manager, Advisor, or technician.
- Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate.

PAY RANGE: $17.00 - $18.00 Per Hour
- A clean & valid New York State Driver’s License
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read, and comprehend instructions and information
- Professional appearance and ability to work well with others
- NYS inspectors license
- At least 3 years MB experience
- Proficient in Netstar, Xentry & WIS
- Working knowledge of shop equipment including but not limited to wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment
- 40 hour guarantee aggressive production bonus plan!
