POSITION:High School Mathematics Teacher (Grades 9-12)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Instruction & Curriculum Development
Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core Standards.
Teach a range of high school level math courses including college prep and honors level.
Use varied teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Integrate technology and real-world applications to enhance math instruction.
Assessment & Evaluation
Design and administer assessments to measure student progress and understanding.
Analyze student performance data to adjust instruction and provide targeted support.
Prepare students for state and national standardized tests, including MCAS.
Student Support & Engagement
Foster a classroom environment that promotes respect, equity, and inclusion.
Provide individualized support and encouragement to help all students succeed.
Maintain open communication with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress.
Collaboration & Professional Development
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects and share best practices.
Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with advances in mathematics education.
Attend department meetings, school functions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
Classroom Management
Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom environment.
Uphold school policies and enforce behavioral expectations
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Valid Massachusetts Teaching License in Mathematics for Grades 9–12.
Experience
Prior teaching experience at the high school level is preferred.
Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive teaching practices is highly valued.
Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of high school mathematics content and pedagogy.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to use technology effectively for instruction and assessment.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
SALARY:$45,706 - $98,498 prorated based on years experience and degree/credits
CERTIFICATION: Appropriate MA Licensure Required (Middle School or High School
licensure)
