What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Trailer Mechanic position at Ralph Moyle, Inc?
- Lead a group of 2-3 technicians by prioritizing and planning work coming in each day
- Perform minor and major repairs on semi-trailers.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on semi-trailers, including inspection, tires, and brakes.
- Welding and fabricating abilities.
- Ability to repair aluminum reefer trailer floors.
- Structural repairs on dry vans and reefers
- Repair and replacement of side rails, panels, cross members, dolly legs, etc.
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop.
- Collaborate with shop team to diagnose problems with semi-trailers and develop repair plans.
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on semi-trailers in a maintenance computer program.
- Ability to install and maintain satellite communications systems for semi-trailers.
