Job Overview:
We are a leader in the metrology industry seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Development Project Manager to lead and coordinate cross-functional team consisting of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, firmware, and software personnel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring new product development projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while managing resources and stakeholders across various teams. This role will also be responsible for helping create the project management office to deliver projects by organizing a diverse and talented team.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead and manage end-to-end electro-mechanical product lifecycle from concept to deployment, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with hardware, firmware, desktop software, mobile app product, and web teams to integrate hardware and cloud components into a cohesive product.
Resource Management: Allocate internal and external resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met, including managing team workload and resolving conflicts.
Timeline and Budget Management: Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that projects stay on track and within financial limits. Manage task lists and milestones using Teamwork software.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and changes in scope.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges that could impact project outcomes.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the quality standards and specifications set by the organization.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, and meeting minutes.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze project performance to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices in project management.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: Portfolio of product development projects consisting of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, firmware, and software.
Certifications: PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electro-mechanical product development processes, software development, and firmware lifecycle development.
Skills:

Proficient in project management tools such as Teamwork, Zenhub, GitHub or similar.
