Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Recruiter to support the company's hiring and onboarding processes. This role will focus on administrative tasks related to recruitment, maintaining employee databases, assisting with onboarding, and coordinating pre-employment requirements. The ideal candidate should be proactive, highly organized, and able to support daily staffing objectives efficiently. This is an hourly position reporting directly to the Manpower Coordinator. The position is based at the Corporate facility in Elko, NV.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support:
- Maintain and update worker databases, skill lists, and job role functionalities.
- Assist with sourcing candidates using databases, social media, job fairs, and other platforms.
- Schedule and track pre-employment screenings, such as physical and drug tests.
- Help coordinate interview logistics, including scheduling and candidate communication.
- Assist in drafting and posting job advertisements and descriptions.
- Organize and maintain records of recruitment efforts and candidate progress.
- Support planners in arranging hotel accommodation and travel for candidates as needed.
- Participate in job fairs and career events to support recruitment efforts.
- Prepare reports on staffing needs and recruitment activities as requested.
Administrative & Human Resources Support:
- Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding processes
- Assist in maintaining the Applicant Tracking System and training of hiring managers
- Draft memos and other company-wide correspondence as necessary
- Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding the hiring process and general HR policies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all employee interactions.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR and recruitment teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in recruitment or similar administrative role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and HR software (HRIS, ATS)
- Must have a thorough understanding of current legislation and regulations regarding recruiting, hiring and HR practices
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with various departments
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical skills
- Experience in mining, manufacturing, maintenance service, and/or construction industry is a plus
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of significance
