RAM Precision Industries is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our team in creating high-quality precision parts for various industries. The ideal candidate will have experience with coordinating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect and verify the accuracy of machined parts.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints, CAD models, and other technical drawings to create CMM programs for inspection purposes
- Utilize CMM software to develop measurement routines and generate reports
- Perform dimensional inspections on machined parts using various measuring instruments
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control staff to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to measurement accuracy or equipment functionality
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of inspections
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Proficiency in CMM software programs, such as Calypso
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD T)
- Knowledge of various measuring instruments and metrology techniques
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
