Position Description
The Supply Chain Specialist will always work with integrity, demonstrate a desire to serve others, and possess the ability to solve problems. The ideal candidate will also have a strong attention to detail, a general understanding of supply chain management, and develop a firm working knowledge of the Ram Operating System, focusing on procuring goods and maintaining inventory levels across all warehouses so that we have the right part at the right place at the right time. *
What can I expect in my role as a Supply Chain Specialist? You will
- Manage and maintain software systems to ensure proper inventory planning, including inventory levels, lead times, and other key metrics.
- Create new items and manage existing items in software system.
- Assist other departments with item specific tasks such as special pricing, usage history, and sourcing questions.
- Assist in creating and proofing product related marketing materials.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports as needed.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to manage relationships with suppliers, focusing on continuous improvement of timely delivery, reduced shipping costs, and best in class pricing.
- Seek out new vendors for customer sourcing requests and develop potential vendors that would be a fit for Rams values and product mix.
- Communicate price changes from vendors to the financial team and assist in managing COGS by negotiating costs and sourcing for better solutions.
- Obtain and provide vendor samples and catalogs to other departments as needed.
- Manage relationship with buying groups.
- Follow buying procedures of the Supply Chain team for assigned vendors on the buying schedule and to cover for other teammates as needed.
- Utilize software systems to create, submit, and confirm receipt of purchase orders daily.
- Monitor open purchase orders daily and expedite when necessary.
- Review and manage add-lines daily.
- Quote new item requests promptly, communicating effectively with other departments to confirm requirements and specifications of special items.
- Assist in resolving account payable invoicing issues as needed.
- Return unnecessary product to vendors as needed.

- Associates Degree or higher in a related field or 2 years of experience in a supply chain role.
- MRO industry experience is preferred.
Youll also need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence Certificate.
- College degree is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
