We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Infection Preventionist to join our team at a leading nursing home. As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of infection control and prevention in our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures
- Conduct surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and other infectious diseases
- Investigate and manage outbreaks of infectious diseases within the facility
- Provide education and training to staff, residents, and visitors on infection control measures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure infection control practices are being followed
- Maintain accurate records of all infections and their treatment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, microbiology, epidemiology, public health, or related field
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
- Knowledge of current infection control guidelines and regulations
