What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper/Laundry position at RAMADA by Wyndham in anchorage downtown?
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, common areas, and public spaces in the hotel
- Ensure all rooms are properly stocked with amenities and supplies
- Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize surfaces in rooms and common areas
- Make beds and change linens as needed
- Empty trash and replace garbage bags
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, and showers
- Restock towels and toiletries as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and guest clothing
- Operate laundry equipment according to safety guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within designated timeframes
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the duration of the shift
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to hotel cleanliness standards
- Good communication skills to interact with guests and other staff members
