Semi Retired Transportation Driver

This is a front line position that interacts with the guests on a regular basis. Responsibilities include maintaining the overall appearance of the hotel including the pool, public restrooms, parking lot and general public space. Delivering requested amenities to a guest room and transporting guests to the airport or other facilities within Grand Island.

*RESPONSIBILITIES: *

• Assists guests with luggage when needed.
• Answers questions about the hotel or restaurant and surrounding areas.
• Transports guests to various areas in the Company vehicle within a 5 mile radius of the hotel.
• Provides gracious and professional service in an efficient manner. Perform all job duties toward the goal of maximizing guest service.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within guest view.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uniform standards.
• Responds graciously to guest service issues and reports the situation to management.

*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: *

• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Thorough knowledge of local areas and roads.
• Experience driving vehicles.
• Strong understanding of the English language.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.

*PHYICAL DEMANDS*

• Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 30 pounds.
• Push/pull carts.

*EXPERIENCE: *

• Previous valet, and/or customer service experience preferred.

*REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: *

• Comfortable, closed toe, non-skid shoes.

The scheduled days for this position may vary, typical hours scheduled are:

• Sunday - Thursday: 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm
• Friday & Saturday: 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Scheduled hours may vary based on peak times within the hotel and based on guest needs. Will train the right person, schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week.
