The ideal candidate will have experience and technical expertise required for site design and land development projects. This position may be based remotely (but in or around the greater Madison, WI area), out of our Madison, WI office or a hybrid.
As a Civil Designer / Engineer at Ramaker, you will have the ability to develop solutions for clients from concept through completion in a variety of different projects ranging from aquatic facilities / waterparks, commercial, industrial site development, residential, and more - helping our clients bring their dreams to reality! You will work with an internal team of employee-owners in our civil, survey, aquatics, architectural, MEP, and structural departments, collaborating to deliver the very best to our clients. Concept through completion varies based on project type and could mean services end when Regulatory Review / Approval is obtained or Construction Administration (CA) services may be provided through construction.
Your expertise in developing construction plans for site engineering, utility, grading, and storm water management will play an integral part in the success of our collaborative team. To be successful, you should have a team-based mindset, demonstrate excellent communication and relationship building skills, and be prepared to problem solve and make decisions.
To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with related experience or an Engineering Technician Associates Degree with at least 5 years of related work experience. Additional preferred qualifications include the ability to obtain PE licensure (if you don't already have it) and Microsoft, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD / REVIT, and Civil 3D experience.
