This is a full-time, position, and hours of work and days are determined by the supervisor. Note: Employees serving in job titles assigned specific workweek limits of 35 or 40 hours are entitled to be compensated for approved time worked in excess of their normal workweek at the rate of time and one-half.
CWA - P16 - Step 1 - $49,738.97
Internal applicants salary will be determined based upon Union Contract calculations
JOB SUMMARY:
In addition, this position is part of the Admissions team, whom all are required to be articulate with excellent communication skills and willingness to ensure that questions from the public are answered accurately and completely on the phone, through email, texting, and other front-end operational processes, including assisting staff and the public at events, tours, and other special function. It also requires someone with attention to detail. This person should be able to work in a hectic environment and work as a member of the admissions staff handling many tasks at once.
Examples of Duties
- Provides requested information to division personnel, representatives of state, local, and other groups, organizations, and agencies, and to the public in accordance with established policy
- .Reviews, sorts, and routes messages in our CRM, and manages appropriate data for each population and team accordingly
- Greets guests and serves as front-end welcome person when needed
- Responds courteously, efficiently and concisely to in-person, e-mail and telephone requests
- Provides accurate information to the public in accordance with the information in the view book, catalog, schedule of classes, and other official college publications.
- Obtains pertinent material from files and/or other sources; puts it into usable form for the review and use of the Director of Admissions
- Prepares complex statistical and other queries and reports for analysis with Admissions team members
- Accurately inputs application and prospect data into the SLATE CRM system
- Enters data for transfer credit evaluations.
- Assist admissions counselors with special projects as needed
- Will be required to learn how to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.
- Use knowledge base and other training tools within the SLATE CRM software to assist staff in managing day-to-day tasks
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
NOTE: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis.
NOTE: Applicants with an Associate’s degree may substitute two (2) years of position-related experience for the remaining two(2) years of education.
EXPERIENCE:
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of secretarial, clerical, and other office routines, procedures, and practices, and their application to specific situations.
Ability to read and interpret department regulations, programs, standards, and procedures.
Ability to accurately type correspondence and reports.
Ability to act as confidential secretary to an executive official.
Ability to communicate with visitors, schedule appointments, and process requests for information in accordance with established procedures.
Ability to prepare moderately complex statistical and other reports.
Ability to prepare correspondence.
Ability to maintain confidential, follow-up, and other records and files.
