Pay Rate -$32 / hr. - 25 hours per week
Job Summary
Ramapo College of New Jersey is seeking candidates for the part-time position of Sculpture Studio Assistant within the Program of Visual Art. The chosen applicant will facilitate a safe, functional, and clean working shop environment while performing basic maintenance on equipment and facilities. They will be responsible for operating, training, maintaining and overseeing safety protocol in areas of metal fabrication, wood working, ceramics, digital fabrication and foundry. The Sculpture Studio
Assistant will be responsible for the training and oversight of Student Aids as well as the general student population. They will work with faculty in the area to order supplies for classes as well as materials needed for the upkeep and maintenance of the studios.
Examples of Duties
Duties include :
- Clean, repair, and maintain all tools and equipment at the sculpture studio
- Monitor, train and enforce safety protocol on tools for students both inside and outside of
the classroom
the fabrication of sculptures when appropriate
and implements for the shops and tools
