Through our RamaYear program, recent college graduates devote a year or two of their early careers to an immersive, residential, year-round service experience on our Rhinebeck, NY campus. Staff members live and work on our 250 acre campus alongside a team of other driven and passionate young adults from across the country.
RamaYear who work in our Staff Assistant Experience serve as mentors to our Staff Assistants: young adults, 18-25 years old, with social, emotional, and learning differences. Ramayears work directly with Staff Assistants: facilitating recreational programming, supporting participants in vocational training, and providing ongoing coaching. Individuals are expected to steward participants through each day and evening by building positive relationships with participants, modeling appropriate behaviors, and communicating clear expectations.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field such as Psychology, Human Services, or Education.
- Ability to live on Ramapo’s campus in Rhinebeck, NY for 12-18 months.
- Motivation, and an interest in Ramapo’s mission.
- Experience in youth development, special education, community development, or human services is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27,000.00 per year
