Job Description
:Human Resources
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all general HR, benefits, and payroll-related inquiries and issues.
- Participate in and provide ongoing support to HR initiatives and special projects based on the evolving needs of the team and organization.
- Complete employee transactions and ensure that our HRIS system is consistently updated and accurate.
- Lead the onboarding process and new hire orientation, ensuring a seamless integration for new employees.
- Help organize and support training and development initiatives that foster employee growth and enhance skill-building opportunities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies that promote a fair and supportive work environment.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience, while leveraging applicant tracking systems for efficiency.
- Manage and administer FMLA and other leaves of absence with accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in planning and executing budget-conscious team events, celebrations, and recognition programs to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Support all HR processes with thorough documentation, ensuring smooth operations and compliance.

- Assist in managing workers’ compensation claims, ensuring compliance, timely reporting, and effective communication with both employees and insurance providers.
Payroll
- Onboard and offboard employees in the ADP system.
- Process employee changes in ADP, including transfers, salary changes, promotions, address changes, deductions, tax withholding changes, etc.
Qualifications for HR Generalist Position:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in HR, preferably in an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.).
- Experience with HRIS systems (experience with ADP is a plus) and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Solid understanding of payroll processing, employee benefits, and FMLA management.
- Proven experience in recruitment and onboarding, with the ability to manage full-cycle recruitment effectively.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex HR situations with a practical approach.
- A team player with a positive, flexible attitude who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in education or non-profit sectors is a plus.
Certification in HR (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus.
