Your new role
Ramboll is seeking motivated and qualified candidates to support existing environmental investigation and remediation projects in our New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania offices. This is a growth position for the right candidate to develop skills for managing technical and financial aspects of progressively larger, complex projects with varying levels of direct supervision depending on the project size and complexity. In addition, a strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn is a necessity.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Execute engineering tasks in support of key projects/programs under RCRA and CERCLA programs, including Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Remedial Designs, Remedial Actions, and post-remediation operation, maintenance and monitoring.
- Provide engineering support for the remediation of contaminated soils, sediments, surface water and groundwater involving remedies such as excavation, capping, containment, in situ and ex situ treatment, and subsurface vapor mitigation.
- Coordinate the development and finalization of technical documents (e.g., regulatory reports, feasibility studies, work plans, remedial design plans and specifications, construction completion reports, permit applications, health and safety plans, etc.) pursuant to regulatory requirements.
- Provide project support with the development of scopes of work, planning, and implementation of routine tasks including, but not limited to, soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling efforts.
- Function as a task manager, providing assistance in the development of project execution strategies, and successfully track task/project activities related to scope, schedule, and budget, and effectively lead and/or mentor Early-Career Engineers.
- Interact with existing and prospective clients and integrate with collaborative project teams made up of Engineers, Geologists and Scientists.
About you
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other related field and have 6 years of relevant experience
- Possession, eligibility, or interest in obtaining PE license and a valid driver’s license
- Completion of the OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER course, plus current 8-hour refresher and a strong commitment to health and safety
- Experience with both conventional and innovative remediation technologies and strong working knowledge of state (e.g., NYSDEC, PADEP, NJDEP) and federal regulations is a plus.

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $96,677- $138,973. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
