The US salary range for this full-time position is $178,200.00 to $267,400.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.

In this role, you will be working with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world developing products that make data faster and safer.
As a Technical Director of CAD, you’ll play a pivotal role in advanced CAD development at Rambus. In this full-time role, you’ll report directly to our Senior Director of CAD. Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles. Employees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.
- Develop and implement advanced CAD solutions and strategies to align with the company's product development goals.
- Lead the development and optimization of CAD tools and workflows to enhance design productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with product and IP design to ensure seamless integration of CAD solutions.
- Evaluate advanced and emerging EDA tools to assess their potential ROI for on the company's operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and reliability of CAD processes and results.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the CAD team, emphasizing collaboration and technical vitality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in CAD development and documentation.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 15 years of experience in CAD, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong knowledge of CAD tools and methodologies.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA software from leading vendors (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens, Ansys).
- Record of innovation and problem-solving in CAD and design technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
