Description

PURPOSE

Responsible for general supervision and management of production operations.  Maintaining proper supervision and labor to support the operation.  Creation of meaningful production goals and responsible for the meeting of those goals. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Creation and maintenance of all production procedures and programs.
• Maintaining proper employment levels within production, to ensure capability to meet customer requirements without excessive overtime.
• Evaluates and tracks employee capability, competence and performance. Accountable for training and development of supervisors and their assigned employees.
• Tracks and manages daily, weekly and monthly production metric reports. Uses KPI’s to assess performance and drive improvement initiatives.
• Assist and coordinate activities and projects with Ramco Specialties Operations and technical departments.
• Partner with Quality in driving the operational discipline necessary for an effective quality management system, as well as with customer-specific requirements for processes and products.
• Coordination with Accounting and other internal departments, for the creation of production budgets and costing projects.
• Review and justification of significant departmental variances, as well as continual actions to reduce unplanned expenses.
• Promote safe and professional behavior within the plant at all times.  Maintain a cooperative attitude toward other employees and keep a mind-set that always considers the best long-term interests of the company.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required being successful in this position.

1. Preferred 7 years of management experience, of a company/division with greater than 20 employees.
2. 5 years’ experience in automotive, agriculture, or aerospace component manufacturing industries.
3. 2 years’ experience in CNC/screw machine or similar batch/work order manufacturing operation.
4. Excellent organization and communication skills.
5. Proficient in utilizing ERP systems.
6. Proficient in MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
7. Ability to create and evaluate operational metrics to characterize plant performance.
