Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Manage case files using Clio, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters to gather information and provide updates.
- Maintain an organized calendar of deadlines for filings, court dates, and other important events related to cases.
- Collaborate with attorneys on project management tasks to ensure timely completion of case-related activities.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact ongoing cases.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law office setting.
- Strong knowledge of criminal law is preferred.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal information.
- Proficient in legal writing, with attention to detail in document preparation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
