What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Para-Educator I (Multiple Locations) position at Ramona Unified School District?
Positions available at the following sites:
Hanson Elementary School - 1 position
Olive Pierce Middle School – 1 position
Minimum Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-One (1) year of paid or volunteer experience working with children in a special educational setting or child care setting is highly desirable and/or supplement by courses in child care, supervision, psychology or guidance; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge
and abilities.
a) Verification of two years of college and/or 48 semester units demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing the core areas of reading, writing, and mathematics
b) Possession of an Associate’s Degree or possession of a Bachelor’s Degree demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing the core areas of reading, writing, and
mathematics
c) If the applicant does not have a or b listed above then they must Pass the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) compliant paraprofessional proficiency examination (which is a formal state or local
academic assessment).
Salary : $19 - $24
