Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics diagrams, and technical drawings to assess the work required and determine the layout of piping systems
  • Operate power tools and rigging equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ensures adequate supplies of tools, equipment, and materials needed to complete jobs at work sites
  • Install and repair fire sprinkler systems and underground fire lines according to blueprints and specifications
  • Test sprinklers for safety standard compliance
  • Maintain proper documentation for work performed
  • Train and mentor apprentices
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project timelines are met

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-years’ experience in fire sprinkler fitting or related field
  • Proficient in the use of power tools for assembly and installation
  • General knowledge of pipe system layout, according to specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler system components and their functions
  • Ability to work unsupervised and highly self-motivated
  • Be comfortable working at heights
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. above your head
  • Ability to work in tight spaces

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Driver License and clean DMV record
  • Must pass drug screening and background investigation
  • Must speak English

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift, Full-time
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Work Environment:

  • This position requires daily travel to job sites in which working conditions will vary.
  • Working in temperatures that may exceed 100 degrees

Physical Demands:

  • Sprinkler installation can be physically demanding and require strength, endurance, and stamina. You might need to bend, kneel, crawl, and lift large materials.
  • Climbing ladders and scaffold and the ability to work in excess of 40 feet from the floor
  • Performing physical labor, to include carrying and moving equipment weighing up to 70 lbs.
