About The Role
We are looking for a Partnerships Manager to join our Issuing Partnerships team to drive our Card Issuing product strategy and execution with partners. In this role, you will help Ramp expand our card product offerings, develop new features leveraging our partners’ APIs, and deliver best-in-class experiences for our customers.
A successful Partnerships Manager excels at maximizing the most out of partner relationships, works at a fast pace, is hyper-organized at managing complex projects, and exhibits an ownership mindset to take partner-supported product initiatives from inception to completion to ongoing enhancement. This role will involve tight partnership with our Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal functions, as we work closely with our most strategic partners to jointly build out new product features and expand into new geographic markets.

What You’ll Do
- Deeply understand how Ramp’s products work and collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to problem solve and deliver on Ramp’s objectives by leveraging third parties
- Support new product and country launches by developing an in-depth understanding of our partner offerings and mapping them to Ramp product requirements
- Own the relationship with our strategic partners, and be the “go-to” resource internally for any questions that arise from partner-supported product questions
- Develop comprehensive subject matter expertise on issuing to inform our own product roadmap around what is possible with partners
- Evangelize Ramp’s product needs to partners and shape partner roadmap for new feature development.
- Source new infrastructure partners that can be additive to Ramp’s card ecosystem; own the entire deal process, from the term sheet through the contract execution, while partnering closely with legal to ensure the most favorable outcomes for Ramp and our customers
- Negotiate amendments and renewals to contracts as the partnerships grow and evolve with changing business priorities on both Ramp and the partners
- Engage partners via product updates & QBRs and help partners stay aligned to Ramp’s long-term goals
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Business Development, Partnership Management, Product Strategy, or General / Product Management
- Background working in a payments field with a preference for experience in card issuing and/or international money movement
- Experience sourcing, closing and managing product partnerships
- High EQ ability to put yourselves in partner's shoes when navigating complex topics
- Structured thinking to map differences and parallels for working across similar partners
- Clear communication, organization, and project management skills
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- Drive to execute with speed
- Experience defining user-friendly product experiences in collaboration with product and technical teams
- Strong collaborator who can build relationships across the company internally and with partners
- Strong negotiation skills with familiarity on payments-related revenue models
- Experience in high-growth, high-velocity startups
- Worked for or has experience working directly with Issuers, Money Transmitters or Card Networks
- Experience launching into new geographic markets
- Experience negotiating complex deals beyond commercial topics and baseline familiarity with legal, compliance and regulatory subjects
- For candidates located in NYC or SF, the pay range for this role is $115,000 - $250,000. The final compensation will depend on the level at which the candidate is hired, as we are considering candidates for multiple levels of this role.
