Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop, assure quality of finished products to meet customer needs, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have an attention for detail.
- Assist foreman in manufacturing processes, may include welding, cutting / bending metal, and packaging finished goods for shipping.
- Maintain an organized and tidy shop environment, including stocking shelves
- Ability to drive forklift (willing to train)
- Process transactions according to point of use system
- Help manage inventory by tracking stock levels and assisting with restocking as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks to uphold shop standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Assist in receiving shipments and checking inventory for accuracy upon delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing or a shop setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills and ability to read and comprehend measuring tools
- Reliable and motivated
