Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System to ensure that products and services meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949).
Primary Functions and Responsibilities

- Implement and help oversee the Global Quality Management System (QMS).
- Collaborate with Program Management on advanced quality planning for future programs, ensuring that customer and supplier requirements are met through the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Ensure all special characteristics identified during product development are monitored using statistical techniques throughout the manufacturing process.
- Own and manage the non-conformance process, ensuring corrective actions are effectively driven and followed up.
- Oversee quality control measures, including incoming inspections, first piece and in-process inspections, final inspections, and dock audits.
- Ensure proper gage qualification, calibration, approval, and control are managed in accordance with standards.
- Review and approve quality contracts, ensuring compliance with all customer requirements.
- Assist in supplier monitoring, including metrics related to quality factors and scorecard generation.
- Aid in the maintenance of the Vendor Relationship Management (VRM) system by ensuring ISO / IATF compliance records are documented.
- Evaluate self-assessments from non-certified vendors and lead internal team reviews, as necessary.
- Manage and lead internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Support efforts to minimize product and process variability through the improvement of work instructions and procedures.
- Plan and coordinate quality-related training activities, as required.
- Proactively identify and address potential safety and quality concerns in work areas.
- Ensure consistent customer satisfaction through all quality processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of the quality management system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015/TS 16949 and VDA standards.
- Proficient in core quality tools – APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC.
- Problem solving tools proficiency – 8D, 5 Why, Fish Bone, etc.
- Ability to effectively interface and communicate with customers and auditors.
- Capable of working independently and as a team to manage work projects.
- Experienced in quality system and process audits.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a quality role, preferably a manufacturing environment.

- Travel required up to 10% - Production site in other states needs to be able to travel at least once a quarter
