Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and heavy equipment to load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Safely transport goods throughout the warehouse, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking materials received and shipped.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain organization within the distribution center.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices for equipment operation and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a forklift operator or in heavy equipment operation within a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including inventory management systems.
- Ability to operate DOUBLE FORK ATTACHMENT safely.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and perform tasks requiring prolonged standing or walking.
