Job Overview:
Ramsay Signs is seeking a Large Format Print Operator to run our HP Latex R2000 printer and assist with wide-format print production. The ideal candidate has experience operating large-format printers, strong attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment. Experience in the commercial sign industry is highly preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the flatbed HP Latex R2000 printer, ensuring consistent print quality.
- Prepare and load various rigid and flexible substrates for printing.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of the printer.
- Inspect printed materials for accuracy, color consistency, and defects.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure print jobs meet specifications.
- Manage workflow efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- Experience with large-format printing (HP Latex R2000 experience preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with RIP software (Onyx, Caldera) and color management.
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, SAi Flexi, or similar design software.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic printer maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to lift and handle large substrates as needed.
- Knowledge of the commercial sign industry is a plus but not required.
