Position Summary
Responsible for securing resources efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with quality standards and business goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – includes the following, but others may be assigned
- Identify strategic supply partners that deliver improved products and lower costs through negotiations, strategic sourcing, commodity management, and total cost principles.
- Negotiates favorable pricing and contract terms with suppliers to achieve targeted cost savings and quality benchmarks.
- Support new product development (NPD), value analysis and value engineering (VA/VE) activities, develop and implement strategies to improve supplier productivity and to ensure supply chain continuity with suppliers to drive out cost
- Executes comprehensive sourcing strategies that drive improved quality, timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Provide analysis for make versus buy outsourcing/insourcing decisions.
- Execute and analyze RFI/RFQ’s, providing supply chain recommendations that are in alignment with category goals and objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Brand Management and other business areas to facilitate corporate goals and objectives.
- Assist in the development and execution of commodity strategies that create value for the business.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (B. A.) preferred or five to seven years of sourcing/procurement experience managing suppliers both domestic and internationally.
Key Qualifications
· Be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Background in Sourcing or Procurement and be comfortable interfacing with all levels of a manufacturing and engineering organization.
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Have a demonstrated track record with successful negotiations.
· Be able to work well on team projects.
· The ability to multitask and work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standard of quality and professionalism.
· Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
Computer Skills
· Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite with above average Excel skills
· ERP experience with EPICOR.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 per year
