Buyer

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services that meet the organization's needs while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. This role requires strong negotiation skills, an understanding of supply chain management, and the ability to manage contracts effectively.

Duties

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Manage procurement processes, including purchase orders, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems for effective inventory control and planning.
• Implement category management strategies to optimize purchasing decisions across various product lines.
• Analyze market trends and pricing strategies to make informed buying decisions.

Experience

• Proven experience in procurement management or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong skills in contract negotiation, logistics, and supply chain management are essential.
• Familiarity with MRP systems and category management practices is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier performance metrics.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
