As a Rana Furniture Porter, you'll be asked to be responsible for assists in all floor moves and in the placement of accessories and furniture.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Move furniture within the store by hand or with the assistance of dollies.
• Able to lift, push, pull merchandise and assist in general store activities.
• Will unload trucks and trailers.
• Assemble product.
• Arrange product on showroom floor.
• Heavy lifting, pulling and pushing merchandise.
• Assist with preventative maintenance program.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize interruption to the business.
• Properly handle all equipment and tools.
• Maintain a safe and effective working environment.
• Report major repair needs to the Merchandise Manager.
• Other duties may be assigned
Workskills:
• Ability to adapt and multi-task in a fast-paced working environment.
• Able to read, follow directions, and write.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact directly with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• We require to lift anything over 100 lbs. occasionally or anything between 50-100 lbs. on a frequent interval.
• Able to use small hand tools and equipment.
• Able to operate high lift; go on high ladder.
• Previous warehouse experience helpful.
